audio

here you can listen to some tunes from my various projects.

moto-SLAVE
the moto-SLAVE sound is heavily influenced by 70s-80s era electronic music - disco, acid, house, deep house, electro, new wave, etc. and features themes inspired cyberpunk, anime, science fiction and retro-futuristic landscapes (you know how tim burton's batman movie was like a weird future 40s, moto-SLAVE is like a cyberpunk future 70s-80s). all the moto-SLAVE releases are part of a larger concept story, which you can delve deeper into by reading the midnight mass blog.

largo
the largo project came about during a period of intense nostalgia for me. i'd been living in SF for over a decade and was not only missing LA, but was also reminiscing on the days when me and my homie milton would spend hours in the lab jamming on a rudimentary set up consisting of an oberheim matrix 6, a yamaha DX7, a nord lead and a linn drum, recording tracks live to cassette tapes that we'd pass around to our circle of friends. largo is all about hot summers in los angeles, old school electro funk, gangsta rap and recapturing that ghetto live setup we had going back in the day.

under the largo alias, i've also got a little project called beats by largo, where obviously i make beats that can be rapped over. i'm looking to get into some more production projects doing beats for artists, so all these are available to license.

cats on earth
my first real solo project was cats on earth, which started out as a sample chopping, abstract instrumental hip-hop type project and eventually evolved into more complex compositions that explored intricate beats, atmosphere, melody and progressive song structures.
